Small AU businesses (consultants, coaches, clinics) needed a booking system that felt premium, was priced fairly in AUD, and didn't lock them into subscription tiers around features they'd never use. Existing tools were either enterprise-heavy US-first stacks or missed AU-specific requirements — GST, Stripe AUD, timezone handling for regional NSW, Zoom Marketplace listing.
Approach
Built from scratch as Hoffstee's own SaaS — React front-end, Node.js API, MongoDB availability engine, Stripe AUD subscription billing, automated SMS + email reminders, a premium dashboard, and Zoom Marketplace integration for consultant-heavy verticals. Native AUD pricing, no per-seat surcharges, free-forever tier for solo practitioners.
